Tess Harrison is an award winning filmmaker and actress from Ithaca, NY. She wrote, directed and starred, opposite her brother Will Harrison, in her debut feature, This Is A Film About My Mother. The film premiered at the Stony Brook Film Festival in 2022, screened at CineQuest, in Madrid, Berlin, acquired distribution through Porter and Craig and is available on Amazon.


Her first short film, It’s Perfect Here, won the Best Narrative Short award at Napa Valley. Her subsequent shorts, DOG, Things Break In, and Take Me Out with the Stars and have been programmed at over fifty festivals in the US and abroad.


Her next feature, French Kissing, is a coming of age film set in the south of France in 2005. Anais Bremond (Ultra Bleue) and Lily DiCostanzo are attached as creative producers. The project received support from Cine Qua Non storylines labs, Nostos screenwriting retreats, and Stowe Story Labs.  

She is also a ceramic artist.
